Summer 2018
Vol 116.1

NJAOPS has embarked on a historical moment just two weeks ago; we sold our headquarters in Monmouth Junction and relocated to Plainsboro, New Jersey. The new location is a wonderful proximity for our organization — just moments away from other healthcare institutions including Novo Nordisk, Bristol Myers Squib, New Jersey Hospital Association and the Princeton Medical Center. This historical event will allow NJAOPS to refocus back on our operations including fulfilling the goals that our Long-Range Planning Committee set forth on June 2016.

Please make a note our new address is:

666 Plainsboro Road Suite 356

Plainsboro, New Jersey 08536

If you are in the area, we invite you to stop by and say hello!

I would like to thank all of our AROC 2018 attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, NJAOPS’ Staff, Board of Directors, House of Delegates and AOA’s President. Dr. Mark Baker who made this event a true success! The overall feedback on the AROC program, as well as our new location, has been very positive. During the four-day event, we had 580 registrants, 83 Exhibiting companies along with their 330 sale representatives and one extremely successful event! We look forward to your participation next year as well!

It’s had to believe half of this year has gone by already; looking forward to some of our initiatives for the remainder of the year including the unveiling of our brand new database, allowing members to seamlessly manage continuing medical education (CME) credits, register for any of county dinner meetings, Saturday Seminars, and other CME Programs, as well as array of other features!

Additionally, NJAOPS has introduced an OMM Pilot Program Bill into legislation where we are seeking to create a 12 month long pilot program that ultimately studies the effects of OMM on patients undergoing treatment for opioid and heroin abuse, along with other mental and behavior health diagnosis. We are seeking support from the Department of Consumer Affairs, and hope to be able to move forward with this program this Fall. I would like to thank Assemblyman, Daniel Benson for sponsoring our bill and supporting our initiative from day one!

As you can see, this year has truly been a fresh start for NJAOPS. We look forward to continue to serve you and the 5,000 osteopathic physicians, residents, interns and students in this state! Please do not hesitate to contact me and if you are in the Plainsboro area, please stop by and say hi! I wish you and your family a productive yet memorable summer season!

Warmest Wishes,

Tajma Kotoric
